Girl Frozen For 500 years

Girl Frozen For 500 years Girl who was killed as an offering to the Inca gods sometime between 1450 and 1480, at approximately 11–15 years old. best-preserved mummy ever found, with internal organs intact, blood still present in the heart and lungs, and skin and facial features mostly unscathed. No special effort had been made to preserve her and 500 years later still looked like sleeping children. The mummified body of this little girl was discovered in Mount Ampato (part of the Andes cordillera) in southern Peru. Latter on further expeditions, two more mummies were found; a young girl and a boy. Due to the freezing temperature their bodies as well as their garments were extremely well-preserved. Scientist latter named her "Juanita". Currently on display at the museum in Arequipa, Peru. http://is.gd/fkiEYo *´¨) ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤ @[393340810735212:274:The Unknown; but not hidden.] ¤•"*~♥~♥~Girl Frozen For 500 years

I think that if someones DEAD! you should respect them and NOT dig them up! who are we?? just because years have passed does'nt mean that we should be unsettling people. lets go dig up all the civil war vets. its been long enough rite?? NO RESPECT for the dead. but this is no surprise we dont respect the living!

  11. Dead people are displayed in museums all the time. The Vatican has Popes under glass. Your local science center probably has had platicized Chinese in various poses and degrees of dissection. Reverence to a corpse is akin to reverence to a god; believe what you want, be it science or spirituality, but strong conviction can lead to precisely this.

  12. In 500 years or 5000 years, the future will be digging us up for answers to the past. Dessicration or scientific study, we need answers to our past, so we can understand the future. Science and Anthropology, I all for it, we have to carry on.

  13. Though it was long ago, my heart goes out to these children for the suffering they experienced in their final hours. May peace be with them.

  14. There is a cool mummy museum in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. Most people buried there are preserved by something in the soil. They put the mummies in glass cases next to their funeral photos. Baby mummies, pregnant woman mummies, etc. etc
